- Peppers (If you want to add spice)
- Bacon (Small chopped pieces)
- Olive Oil
Process: Pour lentils in a bowl and pick out the bad (discolored beans).
- Add water. Let lentil sit in water for 15 minutes to soften.
- Add lentils to pot and boil for 30 minutes. (Add salt to your liking)
- Dice Tomatoes, Onions, Ham, Bacon, Peppers, Garlic and simmer in Olive Oil until light brown.
- Add diced vegetables to the boiling pot of lentils.
- Stir, let simmer for 10 mins together.
